Punyah Yoga Teacher Training Terms and Conditions

In the spirit of trust and full cooperation, anyone who books a course/retreat must be willing to follow teacher's guidelines and instructions without compromise. This is to ensure safe practice and an ordered course/retreat. This is essential for the success of the course that every individual must have confidence in the teacher and the yoga practices being taught. Of course, everyone is welcome to ask for more clarifications and explanations - but please do this in a manner that is respectful and not disruptive to class and teacher-student relationship.

Important: Health and Well Being

It is important to let the faculty and the staff know prior the course/retreat if you have any current or historic medical issues that may/may not affect your practice.

Course/retreat participants are expected to be able to practice freely without any physical or mental impediments. We do not take any responsibility for any injuries/illness sustained during the course/retreat due to malpractice or refusal to disclose any medical condition before the course.

We cannot provide medical assistance at any time during the course or within the school premises. However, we can help with logistical assistance to hospitals, recommending medical services and other medical needs at their own cost.

Passport, Visa and Immigration requirements

Passport and Visa requirements and other immigration necessities are your responsibility and you should confirm these with the relevant Embassies and/or Consulates. We do not accept any responsibility if you cannot travel because you have not complied with any passport, visa or immigration requirements.


It is important for you to be covered by adequate personal insurance for the duration of the course/retreat. You must take out insurance suitable for your needs before you travel. We cannot accept responsibility for any costs you incur as a result of failing to do so. For your own peace of mind, the insurance should cover you if you have to cancel your arrangements, or for any emergencies that arise while you are away.


Information and instructions for payment will be sent to you with your letter of acceptance.

In order to complete your booking, you must pay a deposit per person. To reserve your place, you need to pay a $200USD non-refundable deposit.

The balance of the payment may be made on the Orientation Day upon arrival in Rishikesh. The Payment methods we accept are cash (Indian Rupees or US Dollars), credit card or online transfers using Transferwise. Payments by online transfer may be made in any Currency, as we will receive all payments in Indian Rupees.

When you make a booking for a course or retreat, you guarantee that you have the authority to accept or accept on behalf of your party the terms of these booking conditions. If you are booking for a group, you are responsible for paying the booking invoice, even though by booking on behalf of the group, you are representing that each group member accepts that they are bound by this Agreement. A contract will exist as soon as any payment is received.

Refund Policy

The course fee, including deposit paid for registration, is non-refundable and it is valid for one year from the actual course date. Students are required to pay a deposit to secure their place, and the outstanding course fee must be paid in full before the course commences.

Please note that we do not give refunds, so it is your responsibility to ensure that you are fully insured against any unforeseen circumstances that either prevent you from attending the course or that require you to leave the course early.

If We Change or Cancel Your Course/Retreat

In the unlikely event that we will have to make any changes to your course or retreat, but we do plan the arrangements in advance. Occasionally, we may have to make changes and we reserve the right to do so at any time. Most of these changes will be minor and we will advise you of them at the earliest possible date. We also reserve the right in any circumstances to cancel your course. For example, if the minimum number of students required for a particular course is not reached by a certain date, we may have to cancel it up to 6 weeks before your course, except for reasons of force majeure or failure by you to pay the final balance.

If we are unable to provide the booked arrangements, you can either have a refund of all monies paid or accept an offer of alternative arrangements of comparable standard from us, if available.

Force Majeure: This means that we will not pay you compensation if we have to cancel or change your travel arrangements in any way because of unusual or unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control. These can include, for example, war, riot, industrial dispute, terrorist activity and its consequences, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions.

If You Have A Complaint

If you have a problem during your course/retreat, please inform a member of the team or faculty immediately who will endeavour to put things right.

If your complaint is not resolved locally, please follow this up within 14 days of your return home by emailing us at info@punyahyoga.com with your booking reference and all other relevant information. Please keep your email concise and to the point. This will assist us to quickly identify your concerns and speed up our response to you.

If you fail to follow this procedure, we will have been deprived of the opportunity to investigate and rectify your complaint and this may affect your rights under this contract.
