Punyah Yoga is honored to have the esteemed Benu Ji as our Yoga Philosophy instructor. Benu Ji was born and raised in South India, he completed his degree in Zoological Science and completed a masters degree in Human Anatomy.
However, everything changed in 2000 when he renounced his past and his possessions and began his spiritual journey. He walked barefoot across India, seeking to learn more and study the vast and varied aspects of each region in India. Benu Ji spent 15 years walking across India. He stayed at a multitude of ashrams and temples. He studied at the feet of hundreds of monks, yogis, and sages. In fact, Benu Ji is one of the few people who has undergone the Gurukul Training under Swami Satyananda at Rikhiapeeth Ashram. Moreover, he studied under Swami Premananda at the Shivananda ashram in Uttarkashi.
Benu Ji is a veritable expert in yoga philosophy. As a kind and humble soul, he is eager to share all he has learned with his students at Punyah Yoga.
