Punyah Yoga retreats are fully residential, held at the Punyah Yoga Residency. Built in 2020 in Rishikesh, Punyah Yoga is a world-class destination for yoga teacher trainings and workshops. Of course, participants in our 100-hour yoga teacher training are provided with accommodation and meals during your entire stay.

What yoga styles are taught?

The styles of yoga we teach at Punyah Yoga is Ashtanga, Hatha, and Vinyasa that allows our students to embark upon an insightful journey within while being rooted in the most ancient and authentic teachings of yoga. Our yoga classes are deeply intentional as we honor yogic philosophy, traditions, and methods. Who are your yoga teacher trainings for?

All of our yoga teacher training programs are geared towards practitioners of all levels, all ages, and all abilities. The practice can be adapted to meet your specific needs. Whether your aim is to start on the path as a yoga teacher, or to learn the foundations of yoga and deepen your own practice, our yoga teacher training programs will be equally informative and transformative.  We would like to note that we have students attending from all over the world and are an inclusive institution who welcomes people— all people!

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions or allergies?

If you have special dietary requirements, please let us know in advance, and we will be happy to arrange suitable options for you. We have happily accommodated lots of students in the past with allergies or dietary restrictions. We do this joyously and with ease! We are happy to keep your body happy!


How long do I need to practice yoga before attending a yoga teacher training course either online or in-person?

There are no requirements to join a yoga teacher training course, so long as you have an interest in yoga and meditation. We have welcomed students who are just getting started on the path, as well as long-time practitioners. All are welcome! If you wish to take yoga classes with us prior to joining our TTC, we offer online videos on YouTube where you can practice along with us to prepare for your yoga teacher training.

Can I begin teaching right away after completing this course?

You need to have completed 200hrs of training to be a yoga teacher. This 100hr yoga teacher training courses is the perfect introduction to getting started on your path as a yoga teacher, or deepening your knowledge of the yogic tradition and teachings.

What is included in my course fee/tuition?

For in-person Yoga Teacher Trainings, your fee includes: a single room/twin sharing accommodation at The Punyah Residency, two meals per day, one snack per day with chai, coconuts and few excursions. No food is provided on rest days, though we welcome you to dine at the Punyah Cafe. Your tuition fee does not include other expenses such as eating out, transportation, flight tickets, etc.
